The original Motif Aura launched April 2023 and was widely criticized for design flaws — short flange inserts, weak suction, replacement parts only sold in expensive full kits. Motif rebuilt it as the Aura Glow in early 2025: new silicone flanges, individually replaceable parts, two new lactation-pro modes (Cluster Feeding, General Pumping), and the signature built-in cup nightlight. Manufacturer specs across Motif's lineup advertise 280 mmHg on the Luna, Aura Glow, and Roam — strong on paper, higher than most insurance-tier wearables (which top out 220–270). Independent testing has reported lower peak suction at top settings on the wearables, especially the Roam. Real-world output is also a function of flange fit, not just suction number.
