Momcozy
Momcozy has become one of the most popular names in wearable breast pump technology, with a lineup trusted by over five million moms worldwide. Momcozy is all about putting moms first, with hands-free, in-bra pumping designs that let you pump discreetly while you work, run errands, care for your little one, or simply take a moment for yourself.
Eufy
Eufy is the consumer-electronics brand that brought heating to wearable breast pumps. Built by Anker — the global leader in portable power and charging — Eufy launched its breast-pump line in May 2024 and won the CES 2025 Innovation Award in Digital Health for the S1 Pro. In two years it's become one of the most-requested wearable brands at 1NW, and the second-biggest seller in our catalog.
Medela
Medela is the Swiss brand that built the modern breast-pump category. Founded in 1961 by Olle Larsson, headquartered in Switzerland, and the most-cited brand in lactation research thanks to a 30-year clinical partnership with the University of Western Australia. The Symphony hospital pump (launched 2001) introduced 2-Phase Expression — the first pump to mimic a baby's natural suck-stim → expression rhythm — and remains the most common in-hospital rental pump in the US.
Spectra
Spectra is the Korean brand that brought hospital-strength suction to the insurance-covered tier. Spectra Baby Korea has been in breast-pump R&D since 1999; the US distributor, Spectra Baby USA, was founded in 2011 by Heidi Humphries, a former NICU RN. All electric Spectra pumps are still manufactured in Korea and sold in 26+ countries.
Lansinoh
Lansinoh is the American brand that built the modern breastfeeding-system category. Founded in 1984 in Alexandria, Virginia, Lansinoh started with a single product — HPA Lanolin nipple cream — which became (and still is) the world's best-selling nipple cream. The brand built breast pumps as a category extension starting in 2010, and today the lineup includes nipple cream, milk storage bags, NaturalWave bottles, therapy gel pads, and breast pumps — all engineered to work together.
Elvie
Elvie is the British femtech brand that invented the wearable breast pump category. Founded in London in 2013 by Tania Boler (Oxford/Stanford PhD in sexual reproductive health) and Alexander Asseily (Jawbone co-founder), Elvie started not with a pump but with a smart Kegel trainer — the brand's DNA is femtech-first, not breast-pump-first. The original Elvie Pump (2018) was the first all-in-bra, tube-free, motor-in-cup wearable on the consumer market. Every wearable pump that followed — Willow, Momcozy, Medela's wearables — is responding to a category Elvie defined.
Willow
Willow is the California femtech brand that invented the in-bra wearable breast pump category. Incubated by medical-device accelerator ExploraMed, Willow unveiled the first fully in-bra wearable at CES 2017 — the unit that created the category. Named one of TIME's 25 Best Inventions. Wearables now represent roughly 57% of the US breast pump market, a category Willow effectively created.
Motif
Motif Medical is the US brand built specifically for the insurance fulfillment channel. Part of Aeroflow Healthcare (NC-based, founded 2002), Motif designs maternal-health hardware — pumps, postpartum compression, maternity support — engineered to price/spec points that let insurance fully cover them. Unlike legacy clinical brands (Medela, Spectra) or consumer-electronics entrants (Willow, Elvie), Motif's whole product philosophy is DME-first: build for the insurance shelf, not for retail launches.
Zomee
Zomee is the US, mom-founded brand that's built its reputation on price-to-feature ratio. Founded in 2020 by Dina Shanowitz-Rendler in Pompano Beach, Florida — bootstrapped, independent, no outside funding. The founder is the lead inventor, designer, and tester, and the brand staffs a dedicated lactation-consultant support line (The Mom Line) for customers. Named one of USA TODAY's Most Trusted Brands by Parents 2026.
Ardo
Ardo is the Swiss family-owned brand that's been making breast pumps by hand in Unterägeri, Switzerland since 1995. Second-generation family-operated; all electric pumps are still manufactured in Switzerland and distributed in 50+ countries. The founder, Werner Krähenbühl, is no ordinary entrepreneur — he co-founded the world's first breast pump company in the late 1960s/70s, brought the first electric breast pump from Switzerland to the US, and was previously CEO of Ameda AG and Medela AG and chairman of Medela International. Ardo's lineage traces directly back to the team that founded the modern electric breast pump category.
BabyBuddha
BabyBuddha is the US consumer-product disruptor that won the 'tiny motor, big suction' niche before wearables took over. Founded in 2017 and made the Inc. 5000 list as one of the fastest-growing baby companies in the country. The brand grew out of frustration with 'clunky, cumbersome' traditional pumps that limited mobility — the original BabyBuddha pump was designed to be smaller than a smartphone with hospital-grade suction. The current BabyBuddha 2.0 still markets itself as 'smaller than your smartphone' at 6.8 oz with 315–320 mmHg of suction — a power-to-size ratio few competitors hit.
